Computer Science students at Whitewater High School recently participated in Bebraās Online Computational Thinking Challenge. This international contest presents students with 15 visual problems at 3 levels of difficulty in a 45-minute timed competition. The problems tend to be very visual and require that the student develop an algorithm to approach each problem. Freshmen and sophomores competed in the junior division, while juniors and seniors competed in the senior division.
AP Networking student Margaret Brown earned the top score in the senior division, followed by Python Programming student Blaze Punzel and then by AP Computer Science student Carson Miller and AP Computer Science/Digital Electronics student Charles Jay in a tie for third.
In the junior division, Python Programming student Cooper Housel took top honors. AP Computer Science student Emilie Bruns finished second, and Python Programming/Web Programming student Tyler Babcock placed third.
