ABC's of concussion (required by safe sports)
Our season sign up is now open with the youth group starting on Monday December 2,2024. We have three groups you can be a part of.
The Mighty Whippets: This is for those young whippets who are new to wrestling and takes place from Monday Dec 2 until our Winter Break. This group will focus on body movements encouraging students to learn athletic mobility while including mat games
Our Novice Group will take place from January 6th until late February. This group is for our middle elementary students and will be our introduction to our wrestling skills. They will learn the basic skills of our high school wrestling program becoming comfortable with the techniques in our practice settings. There is minimal if any competition with this group. They are strictly learning the techniques so they can become confident when it comes time to compete.
Experienced Group is our wrestlers that have been involved in wrestling and is ready for advancing their drills and skill sets in practice. This group will have the ability to join competitions. This group will start on Dec 2 and will run until Winter Break. The students in grades 6-8 should be signed up for the Middle School program . When the middle school season is over we then come back to club to close out the season. Those interested in wrestling at youth regionals would go until March.
All practices will take place at Whitewater High School in the wrestling room.
