MEET MRS. DALZIN
I am so happy to be part of the amazing learning community at Lincoln Elementary School (also known as LINCS). Here is some information about me and my journey as a life long learner.
My teaching career began in 1988 in Burlington, WI. I taught there for 12 years and, after a few years at home with my children, I started teaching at Lincoln. This is my fourteenth year at Lincoln. Besides teaching fourth grade, I have taught fourth and fifth grade multi-age, fifth grade, third grade, seventh grade, gifted and talented, and Title I. I also spent one year as an assistant principal. I am a graduate of the University Wisconsin - Whitewater and I also have a Masters' Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
For the first time this year, I am the only one in my family who is part of the Whitewater Unified School District. My daughter Lauren is a graduate student at UW-Whitewater, studying to be a school counselor, my son Connor is studying musical theater at UW-Milwaukee and my youngest son Mitchell is starting his freshman year at UW-Madison in computer science. My husband is the superintendent of the Oakfield School District. I have a dog named Tucker who is also a big part of the family.
Being a graduate of U.W. Whitewater, I was thrilled to return to the city with my family and to join the school district. My children were attending Lincoln School before I started teaching here and I loved the nurturing family-like atmosphere. I really enjoy working with a staff that is so supportive and innovative.
I feel lucky to have a job I enjoy so much. My favorite part of teaching is connecting with the students and their families. Please feel free to contact me at anytime to discuss your child's experiences at LINCS.
